This is a national Call for Evidence that aims to gather evidence to understand the scope of peer support interventions for parents after miscarriage and will be used to make recommendations for the future of peer support for this group.
The evidence we gather, where appropriate, will be included in a systematic review. A systematic review is a type of literature search that tries to answer a focused research question using existing research as evidence.
We understand that often, peer support services are delivered through charities and other organisations who might not have the funding or capacity to publish information about the impacts of their services. This is why we are reaching out to gather evidence in this way.
We are inviting submissions of evidence from organisations, stakeholders and topic experts.
The areas set out below address the questions identified in our review, and we are interested in both qualitative and quantitative evidence in all these areas:
Evidence includes written facts, data, or information.
We are interested in gathering evidence about any work that relates to peer support for parents, but we do have a particular interest in mental health outcomes.
We would like:
We cannot accept raw data sets, promotional materials, non-evidence-based assertions of effectiveness or opinion pieces.
We can only accept evidence that is fully anonymised and does contain any identifiable information.
